NON-PROFITS LINING UP FOR CUSTOMIZED E-MALL

Dozens already benefiting from no-cost fundraiser

BELLINGHAM , WA . – Shop For Charity Day, Inc. has caught the attention of the non-profit world with the development of a new tool that could change the face of fundraising as it is done now.

To go along with the Shop For Charity Day online shopping mall started last year, the Washington-based company now offers qualifying organizations their very own branded, customized E-mall at no charge. There’s never a charge for any of Shop For Charity Day’s resources.

" Instead of asking supporters to use the Shop For Charity Day E-Mall, they will go directly to the organization’s fully customized E-Mall,” said company CEO/Founder Ginny Dye. “The ease of shopping will create more money for every organization that has one."

About 80 organizations currently have their own customized E-mall, and between 10 and 20 organizations are contacting Shop For Charity Day daily asking how to get one. The company expects to soon be able to activate 20 to 30 malls a day.

Like the SFCD E-mall, the customized malls have close to 1,000 stores. There are hundreds of brand name stores as well as hundreds of lesser known ones that pay higher commissions. From 4 to 75 percent of the purchase price on each product or service bought goes to the organization.

“It’s the most generous cash back program of its kind on the Internet today,” Dye said.

The customized malls were created at the request of organizations already working with Shop For Charity Day, Dye said. They didn’t just want a mall, however. They didn’t want it to cost anything or take more than a few minutes of their time each week, she said.

“It was a tall order, but we did it. We have finally accomplished what so many organizations have been asking for, and it’s not going to cost them one cent,” Dye said.

“There is no other fundraising mall out there that we’re aware of that can deliver what we do,” she said.

Once a design team of professional graphic artists creates the mall, Shop For Charity Day keeps the website functioning and markets it as well.

  • The company provides a creatively designed link for the organization’s website that redirects supporters to their mall.
  • Professionally designed emails encouraging supporters to shop are provided weekly for the organization to send out.
  • A personal project manager works with each organization to maximize income from the mall.
  • free newsletter (BE the Difference Club) is provided encouraging people to make a difference in their communities and the world. Stories, ideas, tips, resources and store specials are provided weekly.

In addition, the organizations have complete control over the mall’s content. They can eliminate any stores they prefer not to have and have control of the featured stores to make sure they reflect the interests of their supporters. The organizations also have the ability to track purchases and commissions on a weekly basis.

ABOUT SHOP FOR CHARITY DAY

Shop For Charity Day’s goal is to help organizations, businesses and individuals raise massive funding for their missions and projects—to literally change the way fundraising is done—through an online mall offering the highest cash back rewards.

Because funding is only half the equation though, SFCD also provides an avenue for securing volunteers. Together We Can Change the World Day (www.togetherwecanchangetheworldday.com) offers a nationwide registry to connect service projects with volunteers. In keeping with the spirit of making a difference in our communities, these resources are free as well.
