As the Founder and CEO of Shop For Charity Day I am excited to know we can help organizations of any size – from very small to very large – by giving you your own personalized online shopping Mall! I founded Shop For Charity Day because I have a passion for all the organizations, schools and religious institutions making a difference in our world. I spent years in fundraising myself – constantly wishing there was an easier way to raise funds. The advent of the Internet, and the explosion of online spending provided the answer. It has been predicted that US online shoppers will double to 132 million in the next five years. With today's hectic schedules, people need a way to save time and gas - shopping online is a way to do this. In a recent study, it was found that 19% of Internet users shop online once per week and this number is expected to continue to grow. It is estimated that online retail sales will reach $200 billion dollars in 2006. Many of your supporters are probably already shopping online - why not let their purchases help you at the same time? Many will be eager to know they can save money & time, and also make a difference!

We also want to make accepting your Online Mall as simple as possible. While you will find links that will take you to more in-depth information – allowing you to be as informed as possible - there are only 4 simple steps needed to activate your Mall and they will take only a few minutes. I will walk through each step with you.

There are a few things it is important you know from the beginning. First, Shop For Charity Day is the largest fundraising Mall on the Internet. We have close to 1000 stores and millions of products, assuring your supporters will find what they’re looking for. We also represent more organizations. As of this recording, we have close to 140,000 organizations registered, with that number going up every day.

Second, we pay more back to our organizations than any other Mall we know of. We give 70% of every dollar earned from sales through our system right back to you, the organization, to help support your cause. The rest is used to provide the entire shopping mall system to you at no cost. We cover all the backend business costs so you have no overhead to worry about. Other Malls keep much more – sometimes only giving back 20-50% of every dollar earned! I just believe that’s wrong! We make sure your supporters know the exact percentage from every purchase that will go back to your organization. No one ever has to guess, and every one of your supporters can see exactly how much they are helping you. Just recently we were told by one of our organizations that a store paying only 6% through another Fundraising mall they had tried paid 21% through Shop For Charity Day!

I also want to assure you that when your Mall has been activated, you are not being left on your own. You will be assigned your own personal Project Manager who will be there to answer any questions and help you optimize the income that can be created from your Mall. We take a very proactive position with every single one of our organizations – making sure your Mall is a success. There is nothing more important to us than YOU.
